Heart-Opening Meditation + Sound Journey
Friday May 17 | 6pm - 8pm
$40 | book here
Connect with your peaceful inner-nature on this special evening hosted by Sound Sanctuary. Our candlelight 2 hours together will be infused with crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, harmonic chimes, Native American Flute, jaw harp, and a variety of other musical instruments. This tapestry of frequencies and sonic textures is designed to induce trance and guide you through an expansive inward journey.
Meditative sound is one of the oldest modalities present in all spiritual practices and world religions. Staying present with a single sound for a prolonged period ‘entrains’ the brain and shifts it from a state of waking alpha-beta waves to deep meditative theta waves. In this deeply relaxed state we open ourselves up to large emotional releases and transformational states of awareness.
Our time together will open up with 20 minutes of heart-opening meditation and gentle movements while drinking dark, rich Ceremonial Cacao lovingly provided by Love Cafe. Cacao allows us to slow down and open to our emotional and energetic bodies.
Once we are in this deeply relaxed state, we will transition into the sound journey.
This heart opening sonic journey hosted by Sound Sanctuary will be led by sound practitioner Willow Schild, music therapist Morgan Malsom, and somatic based counselor Tyler Derouin.
We encourage you to dress comfortably and bring adequate bedding to nest and lay for an hour and a half. This might include a blanket, yoga mat, small pillow, eye shade, and water for yourself.
Pre-registration is required. Admission is $40 and includes your lovingly brewed Ceremonial Cacao.
Please arrive to Love Cafe shortly before 6pm. This private event is limited to 12 spaces.
We look forward to sharing sacred space together.

Devotional Chanting + Cacao
Sunday 6/23 | 6pm - 7:30pm
$30 book here
Join Anna Argeropoulos, owner & yoga instructor at Moving Galaxy, to chant some of her favorite Sanskrit mantras with the accompaniment of the harmonium. This practice combines the magic of community, the tradition of knowledge transfer via repetition of chanted Sanskrit texts, and expressing our individual connection to the divine via song.
This practice is open to all levels and experiences, even if you think you can't sing (everyone can sing). You'll have "lyrics" provided for you, and freedom to join in, or just listen. You can expect the energy of this session to be grounded, thoughtful, and meditative - a bit different from what you may experience at a Kirtan.
Anna was introduced to chanting as a component of a yoga practice in her days as New Yorker, practicing in the Jivamukti tradition. She is honored to represent the South Asian yogic concepts of Shabda and Shruti - the luminous power of that which is spoken and heard.
Our devotional chanting will be accompanied with a mug of Ceremonial Cacao provided by Love Cafe.
